- According to the resolution adopted at the 1st Academic Affairs Meeting of Academic Year 2009 on December 16, 2009, the University has required that, beginning from Academic Year 2010, doctoral dissertations should be written in English within five years, and master’s theses should be written in English within ten years.
In addition, at the 1st Academic Affairs Meeting of the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2012 on May 14, 2013, it was further resolved that, before the full implementation of English-language theses and dissertations for graduate degrees, theses written in Chinese must include an extended English abstract of 800 to 1,200 words.
