Dear students:

The thesis proposal review application form must be submitted by the end of November or the end of April each year, and the thesis proposal must be completed by the end of January or the end of July of the following academic year.

1. If you choose "Chinese Thesis," please fill in the total word count for the first 3 chapters (excluding the cover and table of contents).

2. If you choose "English Thesis," please fill in (0).

If there is no Chinese title, please enter "None."

1. The examination method for this item must be determined by the advisor.

2. If there is any change in the examination date for either method, please notify the office at least 3 days before the proposal.



Please make sure to upload [cover] + [table of contents] + [word count screen example] (with the word count displayed in the bottom left corner), or provide a [word count screen example] from Word/proofreading/word count statistics. All three are required; none can be omitted.

Remarks:：

1. Graduate students are required to turn in thesis proposal before final defense of master degree. Proposal due must no later than one semester before graduation. Advisor would decide the mode of proposal of thesis. When the proposal is acknowledged, students could apply for examination of master degree. Application for proposal must before December and approved before January.

2. Procedure: Students independently type and fill in the relevant information, obtain the signature of the advisor, submit it for approval to the institute office director, and keep it on record.

3.Attach the Turnitin plagiarism detection system percentage comparison application form (signed by the advisor).

4. Please note the following regulations:

  (1) Each oral defense committee member can serve as a committee member for 2 or more candidates, but the number of external committee members hired for a session should not exceed the total number of candidates for that session.

 (2) According to the resolution of the academic affairs meeting on December 16, 2009, starting from the academic year 99, doctoral candidates within 5 years and master's candidates within 10 years must write their theses in English. As of May 14, 2013, for those who write in Chinese before achieving full English writing for the thesis, an additional English abstract of 800 to 1200 words must be provided.

 (3) The thesis title, abstract, and keywords must be in both Chinese and English and should be attached.
